Our life is about to CHANGE...Are we CrAZy?????

Well I can't believe I am saying this....but we are moving to CHINA! Gosh I can't even type it without getting the butterflies and then a list a mile long of unknowns and concerns pop up in my head and then float around until I think I am going nutty! But it is true! Actually I am very excited and ready for the adventure. There are just so many unknowns that I can't wait to figure out and then I will be more at ease...for example:

  • What kinds of things should we take?
  • Which toys should I pack for my kids?
  • What should we do with our house while we are gone?
  • Do they have soft toilet paper?
  • Do they have antibiotics for the millions of ear infections my kids get?
  • Is there a place for Luke and Gavin to play baseball and basketball????
  • What is my calling going to be in the branch?
  • Are people going to look at me like I am INSANE when I have 4 kids (they are only supposed to have 1 in China!!!!!)
  • Are my kids going to like school?
  • Can I go with them to school for the first couple of days so they don't have to be scared????
  • What am I going to cook while I am there?
  • How hard is it going to be to grocery shop?
So there you have it...I am going to be using my blog to put all my scattered thoughts down and so you will see all the crazy concerns/excitement/shock as it unfolds!

Sar, I haven't been able to stop thinking about you guys since we found out. I just can't believe what an incredible opportunity you have in front of you!! What an adventure! What an amazing chance to see a different part of the world and experience a new culture! I mean, how cool will it be for your kids to be able to play the two lies and a truth game one day and be able to put that they loved in China and have it actually be TRUE!!!!
I am SO excited for you guys. This is amazing and I hope all of your plans and preparations go smoothly. It's going to be crazy to have to get all packed and moved without Matt and I feel for you there! Maybe I should fly out and help you get ready to go. Oooh!!!! That sounds awesome! Think I could convince Stanton that that's a great idea???!
Anyway, I'm so happy for you guys and just can't get over how incredible this experience is going to be.
Congratulations to Matt for being chosen for this job and good luck to you all on this awesome adventure!

Sara, I'm sure your list of concerns and questions will be a mile long as this adventure/opportunity unfolds. But it is so reassuring to know that Heavenly Father is orchestrating all of this and all of your concerns will be met. You just take one day at a time and watch things unfold before you! Exciting, huh? The one thing we are wondering is how the kids are handling this. Children are so amazingly flexible and adaptable. And our little Florida kids are so used to a diverse culture and make friends so easily. We are so happy for all of you and can't wait to see you! We are so thankful that you have a wonderful ward family to pitch in and help you with the move. We don't worry a bit because we have seen your ward in action! Somehow it will all continue to fall into place just as it has done so far. Love you tons!

SO excited for you guys. The details will iron out. Homeschool is always an option? And who needs toys? Gavin will love the possibilities with chopsticks! :) Love you

Sara, I'm so excited for you guys, and really can't think of anyone who could make it all work better than you. What a great women you are to just pick up and go, for the good of your husband. I know your kids will adapt fast, and it will be because you have such a great attitude. I want to come see you soooooo bad!!! JoAnne and Dallas spent a week in Hong Kong and she is so jealous, she loved the city and said the shopping was fantastic!!!! Good luck dear, we are all rooting for you!!!!
