Part 2 of our trip...Wolf Creek Lodge

We made the trek from Las Vegas to Ogden canyon to Wolf Creek Lodge where Tyler and Anna had their timeshare. It was 1:30 a.m. by the time we arrived. We had such a great time with my family. We watched movies, swam in the pool (many times) , the kids had many dances, and then we took a drive to Snow Basin. This was the highlight of the stay for Luke because he got to see SNOW! Yes snow in the end of June! We took the gondola up the mountain and got off at the top where it was GORGEOUS! Luke has always said he wants to see snow when we go to Utah but we always go to Utah and Idaho in the summer time so he never gets to see it. Well this time he got his wish. There was quite a bit of snow at the top and they had a blast throwing snowballs! Sunday we went to church at one of the wards in Eden and it just happened to be a "farewell" for a missionary. There were tons of visitors there and in Sunday School there were more visitors then there were members of their ward. During sacrament meeting Gavin flirted with the girls behind us the whole time! That kept him happy :) The time went too fast and before we knew it it was time for everyone to leave. Tyler flew home on Sunday morning so he and my dad drove back to Salt Lake on Saturday night. Then Heidi and Jeff and their family left Sunday after church and then Anna left to go to Idaho to see her family and we were the slow pokes and finally got packed and left. My kids were so excited to get back to Grandma and Grandpa's house. They remembered all their favorite things about Grandpa and Grandma's house and soon they had them wind the cuckoo clock so they could see the little bird come out, then they moved to the mooing cow cookie jar, and then they started playing with the little kitchen and the dress ups. They could stay here all trip and play with Grandma's toys and be has happy as could be! Emma can't believe that I was little once and that Grandma is my mom and that she is playing with my old toys. It's so fun to come home :) We also took a walk to the neighbors house and I got to see my old Bishop and young women's leaders, the Howells and the Lundquists. It was so fun to visit and reminisce.

Yea!!!! Emma finally got to be with Grandpa!

Gavin quickly warmed up to Brynlie and was already loving playing with her hair.

The pool exhausted Gavin and his daddy did the trick to get him to sleep.

Brynlie read a story to all the kids

Heidi had a princess game that was a hit with the girls
My kids LOVED having their Grandma and Grandpa, aunts and uncles and cousins to play with at the pool

Luke's favorite was the hot tub
Grandpa showed all the grandkids his swimming skills with his cool flippers and web hands.

Who's legs are who?

SNOW BASIN!!!!

Jeff and I were thinking of our blogs the whole trip! He is just as addicted as I am :)
Our kids just posed on the golf cart, the kids that got on right after ours actually turned the cart on and it was moving! Thank goodness our kids didn't pull that stunt.

On the gondola....

Luke cuddled right up to Brynlie to watch Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and Camp Rock.

Why do trips have to end???? Bye Reids! Thanks for the fun!

Part 1 of our trip....Las Vegas

So we thought we would save some money and fly into Vegas rather then SLC because it was so darn expensive...but then the price of gas has gone WAY up since we bought our tickets and so it probably is about the same we are spending. Oh well, it was fun to have a little family vacation in Vegas for a night. So we got to Vegas at about 5:30 on Wednesday to find out that the car we had rented is only rentable in Utah, Nevada and California and that we can't take it into Idaho!!!! WHAT! So now we are having to rearrange things so we can drive my parents car into Idaho and they are going to have to get on our contract so they can drive our rental! Talk about crazy! So the flights went well, Gavin was wiggly but good. Thank goodness Matt has the touch and can get him to sleep. He did throw one toy that flew in the air and landed in the seats in front of us. Luckily the people were understanding! :) We stayed at the Hilton in Vegas and after dinner crashed that night. The kids were a little mixed up because of the time zones and so after a restless night of getting up every 2 hours they woke up at 5:30 a.m. and were ready to go for the day. They went to bed at 9:30 p.m. (which is really 12:30 a.m. in Florida) Needless to say they were exhausted! That night Luke and Emma both fell out of bed and landed in between the two beds! I had to take a picture :) The next day we went to the pool and hung out for a while and then went and drove around and looked at all the amazing hotels they have. Then we took the monorail and went to the hotel Treasure Island and had lunch at one of their restaurants. While we were waiting for the monorail Luke was sitting there playing near the escalator. Before we knew it he had stepped onto the escalator that was going up. He thought he would easily be able to step off but it was going too fast...after panicking for a brief moment I told him to relax because there were stairs right next to it, so he rode it all the way up. He was laughing so hard that he was almost in tears. Then he came down the stairs right in time as the monorail pulled up. He said "mom you need to blog that" :) After our little Vegas exploring we were packed up in the car and headed to Salt Lake to see Grandma and Grandpa! Emma and Luke were relieved to FINALLY leave for Salt Lake. They were dying to see Grandma and Grandpa and their cousins.

Here we are at the airport and on the airplane...

Here's our cool hotel....

And here's the two deep sleepers that fell out of bed :)

Next time we will have to put them all in a crib so no one falls out of bed! :)

Chillin at the pool!

Treasure Island

Luke's escalator adventure :)

At the pool Gavin ate a container of cream cheese! What a nutritious breakfast! :)
