What a GREAT birthday!!!!!!

What was it like before Facebook???? Well one thing is for sure I didn't have 95 or almost 100 people from my past and present wishing me a Happy Birthday like I did today. I was so overwhelmed with the past mission companions, mission friends, old YW I've taught, YW I have now, old seminary students, friends from the ward, friends from High School, neighbors, friends from elementary school, and family who all wished me a Happy Birthday! It was so fun to hear from all of them!

Today was a wonderful day! First of all my beloved BLOG BOOK came in the mail yesterday and I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited about it! It is from the year 2008 and it turned out so great! As we have been looking through it, it has made me so grateful that I have been blogging. It is going to be such a keepsake to have. It is my journal/scrapbook, and now I don't feel the pressure of scrapbooking and trying to keep up! So that was my first exciting gift! That got me all excited to keep making blog books, so this morning I was on the computer starting with the year 2009. Then I went to lunch with my best friend Amy Lopez. We had the best time talking and laughing and she gave me the cutest jewelry! Then Gavin gave me a WONDERFUL gift and he fell asleep on the way home! So I got a little nap in myself!

Tonight we went out to eat. Luke had cub scouts and he really didn't want to miss...and to tell you the truth I didn't want him to either. I get so excited when he finishes or passes off stuff in his book and gets a badge or a belt loop or whatever and it is so nice that they work on so much during their cub scout meetings. So whatever he misses there I have to help him do at home! So I was all for him going to cub scouts. He was so cute after and apologized for missing my birthday dinner. He even said "Mom I hope I made the right decision going to cub scouts". I told him not to even think twice about it, he made the right decision. He still got to be with us after when we opened presents and had cupcakes (which my WONDERFUL neighbor Liz brought over!!!!)

The kids were so excited to give me my gifts! Matt took them to the store last night while I was at YW. He said they took FOREVER picking out each one of my gifts. They gave me some bath scrub and he said they opened and smelled every scent they had in the store. Then they gave me an itunes card, chocolate, and a cute purse. They were so excited about the card because it had a #1 Mom sticker in it that they immediately put on me. They had each written on the back something they are going to do for me....Luke is going to wash my car, Emma is going to make my bed for 8 days, and Gavin is going to do laundry. (he is so helpful pulling it out for me and putting it into the basket, and he will even sort it and put his/Luke's/and Emma's in their different baskets). Matt surprised me with tickets to WICKED, that is coming in February!!!!

It was so funny because at dinner I was just saying how the end of this pregnancy has been so different because it is such a chore to eat! Nothing sounds good, a lot of meats make me nauseous, and even chocolate isn't enjoyable because it gives me heart burn. I noticed Emma giving Matt a concerned look and I knew she had bought me chocolate and so I had to hurry and say HEART BURN or not chocolate is STILL WORTH IT! :) The best was after I opened the purse and Luke bursts out "AND it was on clearance for $17.48 instead of $24.99!" Ha ha ha! Kids are so dang cute! And he knows how excited I get when I find a deal! :)

So yes it was a wonderful birthday and I feel very loved! THANKS EVERYONE!

Gavin giving me the best gift he could have ever given me...a NAP

Such heart-felt gifts from the kids, but I'm thoroughly envious over those "Wicked" tickets! I love the music so much! Way to go, Matt!

Facebook seriously rocks the birthday scene!
You are going to DIE over how awesome Wicked is. I'd like to fly to Orlando and steal Matt's ticket and go with you. It is amazing.
The kids' gifts were so cute and thoughtful! What great kiddos you have.

Happy Happy Birthday. As I said on Facebook, I'll probably get my act together around December and you'll get a surprise card then! :) Love you.

Happy Belated B-Day Sara! You look amazing--I LOVE your hair long! It sounds like your B-Day was so much fun and the kids gifts were so adorable. They are so thoughtful!! Even though I'm a big slacker in the B-day area it doesn't mean I don't love ya! By the way, you look great, despite the comments you are getting. You are so gorgeous!
