2nd Annual Neighborhood Halloween Party!

Last year my neighbor Kristine and I decided we wanted to get a bunch of the neighbor kids together for hot dogs before they trick-or-treated. Well it turned out to be a hit, once some of the neighbors saw the gathering more and more came out and joined us. So we decided to make it an annual thing. So a couple of weeks ago the kids and I made invitations and we took them around to all the neighbors in the first 15 or so houses. We made food assignments and I solicited my next door neighbors help so we could use her driveway. She has the longest, nicest driveway on the block. It was soooo much fun. We had a pumpkin carving contest and Emma had colored all these Halloween pictures that we gave as the awards. Then we had a little parade. It was great!

Back row: Jonas is behind Luke Eckhardt, Max, Kyle, Nicholas, Carmen, Carter, Brooke, Luke,
Jared, Maddie, Lukas, Grace, (Grace's cousin), Isaac, Raj.

Front row: Emma, Jack, (Grace's cousin), Gavin, Samantha, Aiden, Liam

Karen (next door neighbor to the right), Liz (next door on left), Kerenna and her fiance (2 houses to the right)

What kills me is that you're all wearing shorts! And short sleeve shirts! And tank tops! And you can see everyone's costumes instead of coats!
Florida rocks.

And that is such a fun idea...not to mention a great way to get the kids to actually eat some dinner before they go out trick or treating!
You are awesome.

PS, I loved Luke hiding from the camera. Is he really getting that old?!

Looks like you had a fun night. We used to do a party before with Paynes and Perry's, it was so much fun, now everyone is old and it's just me and Scott handing out candy. HAHA. Oh well, the kids looked darling

Whatever you do, Sara, it is done right! What a great party for the kids...and yes, we are all a bit jealous of the sunshiny weather requiring no coats over or under costumes.
