The next week we were off to Park Valley!!!! Usually we just drop in for a night and then we are off. This year Matt really wanted Luke to have the opportunity to "work" on the ranch and see what it was really like. We had the time of our lives and Luke can't wait until he is 12 because Great Grandpa Rose invited him to come work for the summer then. There is something so captivating and magical about Park Valley. You really fall in love with it! Bill and Amber were kind enough to let us stay at their house and we had a great time watching the kids play together....
Shaylee was so cute and took Gavin under her wing right away...
We had a 4th of July parade complete with patriotic music blasting from Janet's truck :)
Then the next morning Bill, Matt and Luke were off to work....I must admit I was a bit nervous when I looked out the window and saw Luke on the back of the motorcycle with no helmet. I thought he might be nervous too and wouldn't admit it...so I dropped to my knees and said a silent prayer :) That morning they spotted 2 mouse!!!! That is unheard of in Park Valley! It was so exciting!
Emma LOVED their dog Zip. That poor dog was probably glad to see us leave because she led him around on his leash the whole time!
In this picture Luke looks so much like Matt did at that age
The kids LOVED riding Bob and Candy Girl. They have no fear of horses!
Great Grandma and Great Grandpa are always so much fun to visit with. The kids like to get our Grandma's toy box and spread them out all over the floor, and then she has a little tea party set and she even fills the little cups up with water for them.
It was comical to see the cute little calves drink from their bottles...
I found this on the side walk at Bill and Amber's house (which is the house that Matt grew up in) Hmmmm....1976....the year I was born! And Matt was 4 years old already :) He robbed the cradle :)
Aubrey is such a sweet little girl!
Matt took us to Bord's Ranch. They do the calving there and the branding (I think). When Matt was little he used to love to go there and collect flint and arrow heads. He said that he would always be riding his horse looking down at the ground trying to find some and his dad would always have to remind him to put his head up and look where he was going. The kids got really into looking for flint and we found quite a bit. It was neat to see this old cabin. Bill and Amber said they are going to start restoring it.
Bill and Amber and their cute kids!
Great Grandma and Grandpa Rose
What a GREAT Park Valley trip with tons of fun memories!
Then we were back to Salt Lake and got to go to the Gateway and cool off :)
We went to Park City and got to go to the Olympic park. Then we did the alpine slide, and the trampolines, rock climbing, and Matt, Mom, Jeff and I went on the zip line!!!!! It was such a blast. The said it wasn't "recommended" for pregnant women. I decided I thought I would be fine so I went. When the guy was putting the harness on me he stopped and said "Are you pregnant", it was so fun to make him squirm and I said "No, why do I look it?" ha ha ha....
