My little Graduate Emma

Emma and her best friend Marin

Emma's preschool graduation was today and it was adorable! She was VERY excited to have her daddy there, just prior we didn't think he was going to make it because he had a client in town...but he did! And she was beaming when she saw him! They started out with a slide show of all the pictures from the year and then all the kids walked in, in their caps and gowns, and they put on a little program. They sang all kinds of songs about the days of the week, the months of the year, Emma's favorite: Uno, dos, tres Amigos; and the cutest song called A, You're Adorable. They recited a poem that says:

Now we know our ABC's,

Colors, shapes and days.

We sang some songs

Learned some poems

And played outside on sunny days

And inside when it rains.

Our little hands and little feet were busy everyday.

We kept our teachers on their toes

They tied our shoes,

Combed our hair

And even wiped our nose.

Now it's time to say goodbye

To all our preschool friends.

School is over,

Summer's here

But learning never ends.

The best was at the end they had each child get up and say what they want to be when they grow up...Emma said she wants to be a horse trainer and a dolphin trainer (he he he). Then it was amazing how many girls after said the same thing. Oh the power of suggestion. Some girls wanted to be Pearl Divers! How funny is that?! And then after her there were about 7 other future pearl divers :)

After the ceremony Emma asked me where her flowers were....OOOOPS! Talk about the loser mom! I covered up by saying I wanted to take her somewhere to make it a special day. I was sorry I said that because the whole rest of the day she was asking where we were going next for her special day. I guess she thought I meant the WHOLE 24 hours were going to be very special and Emma centered :) I had a whole list of errands to run and was anxious to get out of the ceremony and start on them but had to stop and remind myself that it really was Emma's time. So we started out by getting ice cream, then a couple of my errands, then back to Emma and we went on a little train ride that goes around the shopping center parking lot. The kids have always wanted to try it and finally this was the perfect time. It was a great day! I just can't believe my little Emma is going off to Kindergarten next year. What am I going to do without her all day everyday???

They just keep getting bigger and bigger! I Never realized Noah and Emma were in the same grade til reading this post! I guess I still remember you being pregnant with Emma and your due date was sooooo far ahead of mine, how could they possibly share the same grade? This is how my mind is set...my kids are babies forever!!! I wonder when I will catch up with the times!?!
