Father/Sons Campout on a lesser scale...

Luke has been looking forward to this weekend for a long time! It was our Stake Father/Sons camp out. But we have been having TONS of rain lately and Friday Matt got a call that the camp out was CANCELLED!!!! YIKES! I guess the camp site had tons of standing water. Matt knew Luke would be very heartbroken and so he immediately started calling around to different camp sites to see if there were other options. When I picked up Luke from school and broke the news to him he broke into tears. I tried to comfort him and let him know that Matt would take him somewhere else and they could have their own private camp out but he continued to cry and told me he wanted to be with all his friends and their dads. Luckily Matt found a site that was available and they called a few of Luke's buddies and they were still able to go! So it was Luke, Carver, Christopher, Grant, Lorenzo, and Iniko and their dads. They had a great time and came home in one piece (although Luke did burn his finger on one of the lanterns). Thank goodness Matt is such a great dad and still put in the effort to have a wonderful Father/Son weekend! (Hopefully someone had a camera and I can track down a picture :)
