Luke's school class went to the play "Charlotte's Web" and I got to go along as a chaperon. It was a little bit eye opening to me....Luke is growing up and he is too cool...he wouldn't sit next to me on the bus or at the play!!!!!!! Talk about a dagger to the heart. There was a little girl in his class that clung to me the WHOLE time and helped to lessen the blow. She held my hand everywhere we went and told me over and over that she wished I was her mom. I didn't find out until after that Luke really did want to sit with me, not on the bus, but at the play. He was SO bugged that little Lauren kept hanging on me and told me he really did want to sit with me but Lauren was stealing me. :) I think he just felt bad that he dogged me.
It was such a cute play and the kids got a kick out of it. Next time I will make sure Lauren and I don't make Luke jealous :)
Here's Luke NOT sitting with me

You are such a great mom!
I love Charlotte's Web.
So, what do you do with Gav while you chaperone?
Hey Julie-
Well luckily I have about a dozen or more moms in our ward that are in the same boat and so I alternate between all of them and they watch Gavin and then I know that I can return the favor sometime soon and watch their kids. That way there is no using and abusing of friends and yet we are all helping each other. That day Gavin was in heaven playing with his little girl friend from nursery, Suzie. He LOVES her and they play well together. But then there are times I have used my friends too often and the guilt of using them sets in and so in that case there is a darling girl in our ward that just got married and is currently jobless...so I hire her to come and babysit and I feel like I am helping her at the same time. But the wallet doesn't like that option too much and so that is only for times that I know I would inconvenience my friends (like last week when I needed someone at 8:45 a.m. to have a meeting at the school...I can't ask friends who are taking kids to school at that time so I fork up the dough at that point.) As I am typing this I feel much like Little Miss Chatterbox, which I just read to the kids this week, it is kind of fun and kind of making me giggle to give such a LONG response to such a short question :) So long story short Gavin was at my friend Jessica's house :) he he he
I loved your response, Sara! It reminded me of me! (tee, hee, hee!)
