Emma Scissorhands

This post is in NO WAY a laughing matter. With that being said I realize that I have to blog about the good, the bad, and the ugly. I think this post would qualify as the bad and the ugly....when I see Emma kind of running around quickly trying to get out of my view I KNOW something mischievous is going on. It was one of those days that she was slipping by and when I walked into her room she had given her stick horse a HAIRCUT! She had already been a stinker that day and so I LOST it! Afterward as I was evaluating my overreactedness over a simple stick horse and I thought "you know it could have been worse...it could have been HER hair or something". The next day I dressed Gavin in my favorite little shirt and looked down to notice that the bottom had been CUT up! Again I was angry. Then the next day I found my favorite pair of Gavin's shorts had been cut in the same pirate style. I was really trying to control my anger. Now she has to pay for a new shirt and shorts for Gavin out of HER money. Then the icing on the cake, my fears had come true. WHILE my family was here Emma CUT HER HAIR! ARGHHH! That little stinker! She was lucky that there were too many witnesses around and her punishment was lowered to losing her fish she just got and a long time out. So there you go there is the story of my little Emma Scissorhands!

I know it's not supposed to be funny...but I laughed anyway. I think it was the title that did it!!! It made me feel better that Josh cut his brand new shirt w/ scissors last month (first wear) & I lost it!! It's still up for debate whether his act was on purpose or accident. But I'm not like you...I'm always losing it and freaking out. Hmmm...I guess I hope my crazy outbursts will sway them to stop their crazy behavior? But in reality I know my bad behavior + their crazy behavior Doesn't = good behavior!!! It's a repetetive cycle for me. I might need help. Anyhoo...good luck that Emma learned her lesson and you won't have future cutting mishaps!! =)

Hi-lar-i-ous!!! Sara, you crack me up. I wonder why scissors are so attractive to little ones. Just when you think you've seen it all ...

Sorry, Sara, the title made me giggle before I even read the post. So sorry, I know I would've lost is as well, in fact, I hope my kids don't attempt that because I can assure you, it would not be pretty! Hopefully she's got the cutting bug out of her system!
