Principal's Award!

Luke came home with the Principal's Award yesterday. Each Friday there is one child from each class chosen by the teacher to receive the award and then they announce it over their t.v. announcements. Then the kids get to go into the Principal's office and pick a bumper sticker or license plate and they receive their certificate. Luke's was awarded to him for his "super work habits and behavior!"

He was so excited, yet at the same time in the middle of the day he started to get sick and had a fever and wanted to throw up! Poor kid. He got into the car at the end of the day and looked so droopy and felt warm to me. He has been trying so hard this week for the Principal's award and he was trying to be excited, but he just didn't feel good. I felt so bad for him and kind of bugged that the teacher didn't call me to come pick him up. Good thing we have a low key, stay at home weekend! (Yea for conference!)
Great job Luke I am so proud of you and how hard you try at school! I guess the advice that I give him that my Grandpa Searle used to give me is paying off "Don't spit at the teacher" and "You keep your clothes on". :) (he, he, he...I love the Grandpa sayings :)

Sar - I have to laugh! Because Annie was the LAST KID in her class to get that award. Dead last.

But that aside, I am very proud of Luke. He IS a great kid!! And all the soccer pictures are making me miss it! I wonder if Annie would love baby soccer next year as much as I would love her to love baby soccer next year...
