Halloween 2008 What a TREAT!

Our Halloween festivities started last night! Luke's friend Owen moved to Colorado this summer and he came back with his dad to visit. So he slept over last night (I know what kind of mom let's her kid have a sleepover on a school night???). It almost didn't happen because Luke was sick the day before but he had a miraculous recovery and so the party still happened (thank goodness, this REALLY would have broken Luke's heart!)

I am the room mom for Emma's preschool class and so here are some of the pictures from her party.... we had such a great time! We had a parade around the parking lot, decorated pumpkins, decorated Trick-or-Treat bags, made spiders from pipe cleaner and tootsie pops, played pass the pumpkin, count the spiders (I had a big spider web drawn on paper plates and numbered each plate (1-10). Then the kids would pick up 1 spider ring with the clothes pin and put it on the paper plate with the number 1, 2 rings on plate #2, etc), and my favorite the mummy wrap (The kids were in teams and they would wrap each other, mummy-style, in crepe paper and then hop to a finish line). They even ended up wrapping their teachers :)

THEN after school we headed to Matt's work to Trick-or-Treat!

This is Matt's boss Colleen!

THEN we ran home for a neighborhood party that my friend and I planned! It was soooooo fun and we had a GREAT turn out! We just got together and had hot dogs before the Trick-or-Treating!

Gavin was being such a stinker and wouldn't let me take any pictures of him...he had a cute little stick horse but I don't have one picture of him with it (talk about STUBBORN!)

IRONMAN

These are Luke's buddies Kyle and Austin (twins from down the street that we ran into Trick-or-Treating)

This is Luke's buddy Dalton from school...(Dalton is all Luke talks about). Dalton walked with his big sister from quite a ways down the street to see Luke :)

Then the highlight of the Trick-or-Treating was when Luke got to go to his teachers house! She had sent an email to her class saying to stop by and say hi if we were in her area (she only lives 1 subdivision away from us) What a nice teacher! Luke was so excited :)

Fun costumes on adorable kids! Emma's party looked so fun that I wished I was there enjoying the activities! It was good to chat with you this morning. We are glad you're heel is healing (that sounds funny!) I love Halloween only for the costumes--not the scary goolish ones--just the creative, imaginative ones! I love to try to guess who or what they are when they come to the door. Love you bunches!

Aww..looks like you had fun! I am jealous of how updated your blog is! I just got your voice mail today. Yesterday I had the day off and I was going to bring Natalie and Noah in for trick or treating, but Nat has a cold, and she had 6 months shots so that didn't help her feel better. We needed to save our energy for the real deal trick or treating. =)

Love seeing what you guys are up to! I'm so jealous of your florida lifestyle! The warmth on halloween, now what would that be like?!? As you know, we usually don't have the warmest Halloweens in Utah! Your kids are so cute, and little Emma looks so much like her mom! What a cutie!

Luke looks so rad! And Emma and I could have been twins for Halloween.

Your twin neighbors' Spidey costumes are so clever -- I think Cindy should remember that one for a few years down the road -- BEFORE Kamryn can protest.
