This whole season Luke has been dying to get a goal...he has had troubles getting in there and being real aggressive. Also his team has struggled to pass to each other, they all have the same goal in mind...GET A GOAL! So they end up fighting EACH OTHER for the ball instead of playing as a team. You always hear us parents yelling "You are on the SAME team!" This week Luke has really been thinking about today's game. In fact he has this journal at school called the Parent's Journal, he writes to us and then we write back to him. His entry this week said he thought he would get a goal. Our coach could not be at the game today and so he asked Matt to coach for him. Luke was VERY excited about that! Well today was Luke's day. Usually he starts the game but today Matt didn't put him in right away. He was itching to get in there. When Matt finally put him in Luke was on fire! He scored two goals right away. AND he was passing to his teammates! It was the BEST game! He was so excited. It melts my heart because after each one he would look my direction for my approval :) I bet you won't hear me saying that when he is in high school...instead it will be some teenage girl writing on HER blog that Luke would look HER direction every time he scored! SO I WILL ENJOY IT WHILE IT LASTS!
After the game I asked Luke what got him so pumped up out there, I asked if it was because his dad was coaching and he said "Ya I just wanted to show him what I could do" :) CUTE! It was a great day!
It seems like it is always the girl teams that whoop Luke's team and so Luke is always so intimidated when they have to play them. So in this picture it shows him playing against a girl :)

Luke, you are the MAN!!! Sara you are so right. This year Whit had a boyfriend on the football team. Kind of the star, and when he would score he would point at Whit, it was really cheesy!!! Mitch would always be so mad,he needs to concentrate on the game not Whitney the cheerleader, funny stuff. Recently he dumped her, cuz she had to many rules, to bad so sad!!! On to the next!!! That is Whit's attitude, she a good kid.
Congrats Luke! We are so proud of you.
Love,
The Reids
Way to go, Luke! I love that you love to make your Dad proud!
