High School Football + Shuttle Launch = only in FL!!!!

+

Tonight we went to the Timbercreek High School football game. We have a couple of girls from our ward in the band, one in color guard, and one of the boys on the football team. The kids had a great time. It was so cool because during the game the shuttle launched and they had a time out on the field so we could all watch! I love watching the shuttle launch....I find myself praying for it to safely make it as I watch it disappear into a tiny dot of light in the sky, it never gets old! What a fun night!

Aagh! I always forget to check your blog and then I'm a million posts behind! It's not because I don't love you guys, it's that I'm totally addicted to Google Reader!

I love high school football games. Still. They are the best. And a shuttle launch to boot? Rad.

Florida definitely has its advantages!! A guy from work paid big money to go to the shuttle launch in October and then it was postponed! He was so bummed but vows he will make it before the shuttle program is disbanded! Apparently he can still use his tickets for a future launch!

I think the launches are awesome, but RE-ENTRIES still seem to be my favorite, especially when you forget they are coming! BOOM!!! I've seen many hit the deck in the middle of the day from those sonic booms!

Wow, now that is fireworks!!! I think that would be awesome to watch. We tried to be there one time when we were in Florida and they delayed the launch. DARN!!!

We are so jealous! Can I tell ya my kids just love watching the shuttle launch, if it wasn't for channel 213 (NASA) on our dish, they would be depressed! We are a BIG fan of Nasa in our family, maybe one day we'll be able to come and watch it in person!
