Luke's talk and missionary experience...

Sunday Luke gave a talk in Primary and it was so amazing because I didn't even have to help him...he read the whole thing by himself!!! We worked on it together, typed it up and then he stood up there and read it like a pro. I can't believe how well he is reading now. He was just beaming when he was through. And it was cute because he let Emma stand up there and hold his pictures for him :) Here's his talk...

Before we came to earth we lived with Heavenly Father in Heaven.

We chose to follow Jesus and so we got to come to earth and get a body.

Everyone here on earth followed Jesus.

We can't remember what Heaven was like because there was a veil drawn. Here on earth we hear about Jesus and Heavenly Father and the spirit tells us it is true. That is how we gain Faith.

Not everyone has had the chance to learn about Jesus and Heavenly father and so it is our job as members of the church to tell all of our friends. That way our friends can be happy and know about Heavenly Father and Jesus and then they can be baptized and live with Heavenly Father again.

There is a scripture from D&C 18:15 that says "and bring save it be one soul unto me how great shall be your joy with him in the kingdom of my Father!" It is a good feeling to help someone learn about Jesus.

We should all try to be missionaries!

Can you believe he read all of that on his own! What a little smarty pants! Then to top it all off he came home and was so in the missionary spirit from his talk and his lesson in Primary that he wanted to take his friend Nicholas a Book of Mormon. So I walked next door with him and Brooke, Nicholas' sister answered the door. Luke handed her the Book of Mormon and said "Can you give this to Nicholas, I want him to learn about Jesus." That was it and he walked away! :) Very cute! What a good little missionary

Oh, we are so proud of Luke. That takes great courage! We all need to develop that kind of courage and not be afraid to share the gospel. What a good mom you are to help him follow through with his spiritual prompting! Do you think he understands that he is feeling the spirit?
