For our Relief Society activity we all went to the beach! I have never attempted to take the kids to the beach without Matt...it just seemed like too much of a hassel to do alone. There is so much stuff to carry and sandy kids to clean off after. But I got up my guts to do it today and mission complete! And we had a great time too! There were tons of us there. Thanks to my friend Lorraine's son who helped me back to my car at the end of the day with his friend. I don't think I could have carried tired kids and all the stuff without them.
The highlight for Luke was when the kids met this teenager on the beach who was visiting from Texas. He taught the younger kids how to "skim board". It is where you toss the board across the shallow water and then run and jump on and glide across the sand. Luke thought he was pretty cool! And I was so proud of our teenagers because afterward we got talking to this teenage kid's parents and they commented how nice it was so see girls dressed modestly at the beach! Way to go girls!
Emma's highlight was playing with Bradly and Nate and boogie boarding with them.
Gavin was loving running around in the water and crawling like a dog through the water. He was great all day and then started to get whiny so I picked him up while I was talking to my friend and all of a sudden his head hit my shoulder and he was asleep! What a trooper!

Who is this nerdy little tourist? Or wait that's my son complete with life jacket and Emma's Hello Kitty visor! :) He looked pretty funny! :) But hey he was safe and the sun was not in his eyes :)
Emma saw me taking all the "all boy" pictures and so she rounded up some girls for her "all girls" shot :)
This is the random kid we met on the beach. I think he was trying to meet the teenage girls by helping the little girls and boys :)

Hey Sar,
You're brave! I don't know if I could have done that...although, with a bunch of friends, I guess we always look out for each other's kids-right! Sounds like fun. We are missing the beach
This weekend we borrowed some books from the library and today Ridge got a really grand idea...we were in Carly's room and all the sudden Ridge got really excited and yelled, "Mom! I have a great idea. I can give my books to Luke and Ben!"
He's so nice to give away his library books.
Well, we love you guys.
Be happy, Lisa
Hey Sara,
Isn't Clay awsome! He helped carry my stuff the last few times as well. I have to add that the whole youth group are awsome. On top of being modest, they helped and entertained the little kids. I don't think I would of come back without my husband, if it wasn't for all their help.
I love your blog!
Carmen
Hey Sar,
What a fun day. I was just put in the Relief Society presidency, I'm going to suggest a day the beach, think it will fly in Utah. The tickets might be a bit pricey, but it will be worth it. HAHA!!! I was missing hearing about your exciting life, so I was most glad to see some new pictures. Give the kids loves and kisses, check out my blog, I posted some Park Valley shots and some of the girls cheerleading shots. Love ya lots and miss you!!!!
Sara,
I'm so glad you were brave enough to come...it's not that bad after all!
Camden and Gavin (Roe) LOVED seeing pictures of themselves. Gavin asked "WE are on LUKE'S computer?"
Oh, LOVED the picture of Gavin (Rose). He is the cutest!
SO MUCH FUN!
Wow, what a fun activity! Your pictures look like shots from a magazine with all those beautiful tanned kids, colorful surfboards, and white sandy beaches. Now we know where all the beautiful people hang out!!! :)
Looks like fun! I love the picture of All the boys... and Emma boogie boarding. That is awesome. Where was Amy Lopez in the picture? What a fun activity? And Kareoke night? The activities in your ward rock the house.
Now that looks like fun.... but I have a question... why are there that many people who live in Florida and do NOT have a tan? I don't understand!
Hi Sara! I'll let you know when we are going to the movie...probably opening night! If you can go...consider it a date! This is the perfect girlfriend date- right! No babysitter and the kids are asleep! (Oh, if we can only squeeze a nap in the next day!)
I read book 3 while Sean was out of town scouting for elk! I had to hurry and fit it in before he got back! I can't wait to read book 4 now!
I love you guys!
Have a great week, Lisa
