Today was a GREAT day in Luke's life....not only did he get tons of compliments on his new Steelers jersey, his cool "new" (hand me down) Michael Jordan shoes, and his cool Valentines box he made.....he also LOST HIS FIRST TOOTH! He was so excited! The amazing part to me was that Matt was actually videoing him right as he pulled it out!!!! So if this video will post then you can see it as it really happened and see the shock on Luke's face! It is priceless!
I'm so relieved he finally lost it. He was starting to feel bad. Just yesterday he was getting all down because he's the smallest boy in his class, he says he is the youngest, and he said he was the only one that hadn't lost a tooth yet! He asked me why he had to be the skinniest. So I sat down with him and told him to think of the benefits of being skinny. I mentioned that no one will ever be able to call him "Fatso" to which he replied "Ya but they can call me Skinnio". :) But soon he started to ease up and list the benefits of being skinny, like he can run faster, and do the monkey bars easily.
Pretty funny stuff :) I'm so excited for him!

Way to go Luke! Congrats on losing your first tooth. And by the way, it wouldn't be fair to everyone else if you were the biggest in your class because you are already the most handsome, fastest, best soccer player, kindest, best brother... I could go on and on! Love you!
Aunt Heidi
Congratulations, Luke! Hope the toothfairy brings a few bucks! By the way, I loved the video, his reaction was so stinking cute. Love you guys, oh, I loved the "did it for love" post, I wish my kids were that nice to one another. We'll share that one next Monday night in hopes they'll learn something. Thanks, Luke!!
Luke,
You are awesome!!!! And guess what Mitch and Nate were the last to loose their front teeth and they were sometimes the smallest in there class in school. But guess what they grew up to be big and tall, and really cool. I remember when your Daddy was the skinniest boy in all the class. And look how handsome and cool he grew up to be. I bet you are the best lookin' kid in all your class, remember, we Roses don't grow real fast, but when we do, we are AWESOME!!!! I love you Luke!!! Aunt Christie
WAY TO GO, LUKE!!! WHAT A RED LETTER DAY!! Hope the tooth fairy was really good to you! I hear you are reading tons of books - good for you! Reading is what it is all about! When I taught first grade, I had to cheer with each of my kids when they finally learn to love reading!
Proud of you! Give Emma and Gavin a big hug from us - one for you also!
That is a great video! I hope the tooth fairy was kind! =)
Congrats, Lukey, from Grandma and Grandpa Rose! I still remember what a big deal it is to lose that first tooth! What a fun thing that daddy videotaped it for you so you can always remember it! And as Aunt Christie, said, your daddy was the smallest for a long time but he is just perfect now, isn't he? So for now, just enjoy being the most handsome, best artist, best reader, fastest runner, and best big brother ever! We miss you and are so excited that lose tooth finally came out!
Luke, you Rock, you Skinnio!!!! Good job on that tooth!
