We just got back from our cruise today!!!!! Man was it nice! It was a 4 day Royal Caribbean cruise on the Grandeur of the Seas to Cozumel without the kids!!!! Talk about fun, relaxing, beautiful and enjoyable! I am putting TONS of pictures from our trip and so I hope you don't get bored looking at our adventures, but this is my journal/scrapbook and so I am trying to record ALL the fun! So either skip this post or have fun reading our travel log! By the way my good friend Amy Lopez let me borrow tons of her cute clothes and so that made it double fun to have a new outfit everyday! Thanks Amy!
Here we are...we can't believe we are leaving the kids longer than just overnight...4 days!!!!
Here's our farewell party sending us off...
They even chased the car (a little tradition)
Here we are just before getting on the ship (and yes we are the suckers that paid them too much for some of their photography!)

They make everyone put on their life jackets and do a drill just before we leave...don't we look cute!?
Leaving Tampa!
Just after our first dinner
The pools and hot tubs...it was raining and windy most of the time so we were grateful for the hot tubs AND grateful they were covered so we could sit in them even when it was raining.
FORMAL NIGHT!!!! There are way too many pictures here of this night, but hey it's not very often you get to dress up with your husband!
This was another couple we made friends with at our table...Stephan and Mylen. They were from Montreal and spoke french, but they did very well with English.
The next day we went to Cozumel, Mexico. Matt and I signed up for an excursion but ours didn't start until 12:30 pm and so we had plenty of time to shop and walk around Cozumel before we went on our adventure.
Matt asked if they had a bigger glass :)
We were serenaded at a little restaurant while we ate!
Now on to our adventure!!!! We got to ride ATV's through the jungle, stop at a sink hole that is 66 feet deep, go to some old Mayan underground caves that they used during hurricanes, and then we ended at a beach where we got to hang out and relax. It was too windy and so they didn't let us snorkel. Kind of a bummer, but I haven't had great luck with snorkeling and boats on rough water...let's just say I have fed my share of fish :) So I wasn't too heart broken when they canceled that! It was nice to relax on the beach!
We had to wear bandannas over our mouths because the line of us was kicking up dust!
These were our guides Carlos and Fernando! Very funny guys that were always cracking jokes.
Then back to the ship to look at all our treasures we had purchased....have you seen Nacho Libre????? That is Luke's favorite show and so when we saw these masks we HAD to buy one for Luke and one for Gavin. :)
The ship at night.
A couple of times that we came back to our room our Stateroom Attendant had folded our towels like little animals. This one cracked me up because he used my sunglasses, and then turned the t.v. on so it looked like he was watching t.v. Funny stuff.
Another night he hung the little animal :)
Matt was a little concerned he wouldn't get to watch his Steelers....but not to fear they showed it on the HUGE screen! Matt was pleased to say the least!
I was so relieved they won....I didn't want the people around us to think we were crazy when he broke into tears if they lost :) They already were laughing and thinking we were crazy when Matt was screaming, jumping up and down, and hitting the chair in front of him during the game :)
I even got Matt to get up and dance and we were chosen as one of the 3 finalists for the twist contest! We came in 3rd! :) We think it was a little unfair because it was an elderly couple that won and the whole lounge was FILLED with old people! :)
Notice the cool rock climbing wall on the top floor....we were dying to try but it was always too windy or rainy. Bummer!
Here's some pictures of our ship The Grandeur of the Seas.....

Our room was CLEAR at the end of this hall....the VERY LAST ROOM! #3158 It was good excercise after all the eating we constantly did!
Here was the centrum. I thought it was so beautiful and classy!

I am loving every word and picture! It looks like you guys had so much fun. I absolutely LOVE cruises. I think they're one of the funnest ways to vacation.
The Nacho Libre masks are stellar! I love them! And your ATV adventure really looked so neat and fun.
One question -- where did you get your formal? I have to find one for our cruise and am stumped (although I have to admit, I haven't even started looking...). Any advice?
The kids are all so cute. I am missing them like crazy!
HOW FUN!!! Love the pictures, and all your outfits are darling. You both look like you had a blast. So glad you got a chance to get away! I love your formal dress too!
I am JEALOUS!!!!! It looks like you had a blast! Its always nice to get away!
Looks like fun!!!! I'm glad you got to go and really glad Wendy got to come and spend some time with the kids. I love cruises, the twist contest reminded me of our first cruise, my friend Kari won the twist contest and Scott won the Elvis contest, the cruise director told us he couldn't believe we could have that much fun and be sober, they traded our champane for t-shirts. Fun memories. Glad you had a great time!!!
