A new healthy Chef in town...

Emma's homework was to help her mom make a "healthy" meal. Emma took matters into her own hands while I was on the phone with my mom today. When I got off the phone Luke and Emma presented me with the following "healthy" dinner...here is the recipe...

  1. Start with a piece of wheat bread

  2. Spread a little honey

  3. Graham cracker

  4. Apple slices

  5. Cheese slices torn into pieces

And tada....a masterpiece! I was wondering how they were going to eat the mountain of tasty morsels...notice how the second picture shows it crumbling :)

Healthy food choices, but very interesting combinatio! Aren't they going to love these pictures and this post some day? Just darling! This is so Emma to take things into her own hands. That girl is a self-starter for sure! Love the pictures! Did they eat it all?

I really do know how to spell "combination".

So yummy! We'll have to make that for tomorrow nights dinner. Emma and Luke look so cute and Emma looks very proud of herself. By the way, I loved the picture of Luke and Gavin with the hair spikes, they look totally thrilled. Way to go, Matt!!

You sweet talker Betty Crocker! I think we should put Emma and Luke in charge of food for the family reunion. Sara, thanks for the fun comments on our blog. The kids were so excited.

P.S. You must feel the pressure to update your blog daily because it is so darn cute and everyone tunes it! Love and miss you!

Mmmm mmmmm good! I'm seriously impressed that they ate it. They are the cutest kids ever. Your pictures look straight out of a magazine (Family Fun wishes they had such cute kid models).

My question is " who cut the apple?"

Luckily I was the one who cut the apple...but I'm sure if I made Emma wait even a minute more she would have taken matters into her own hands :) And yes they ate it all! I'm thinking I might start making them fix dinner...maybe they'll start eating everything on their plate!
