Emma's Kindergarten Fall Party

Today was Emma's Fall party and it brought back memories of when Luke was in Kindergarten. They decorated little frames (which is what I got to help with), decorated cookies, make little necklaces, played Bingo, and pumpkins. I LOVE being in the classroom to see how the teacher and the kids interact. Emma is learning so much and LOVES her teacher. Then I got to eat lunch with her. What a nice day!

Goodbye Kindergarten!

Luke has loved Kindergarten and I am sad to see it end! :) I have loved his teacher and all the cute and creative things that she has done for the kids. You can tell she loves them and loves to teach. Here are a few of the end of the school year things that she has sent home that I think are priceless!

I don't know if you can read it, it says "Here's a picture you can treasure. Teaching you has been a pleasure! The year now ends and we must part. Always know you' are in my heart! Love, Mrs. Balasis"

Lukes last day of school is tomorrow. They are going to have water day, which I'm sure I will have more posts and pictures about. What a great year! Thanks Mrs. Balasis!

My First Kindergarten Field Trip

It was Luke's third Kindergarten field trip but it was the first time I got to go with him as a chaperone!!!! I know one thing...I don't think I could teach Kindergarten! I realized I have NO patience! :) Actually it went really well, there were enough parents that we each had our own kid and then one more. I had Luke's little buddy Owen Westcott and we hung out with his other two friends Austin and Tyler and Austin's dad Scott. It was a hot day but it didn't feel too hot because there was plenty of shade at the Brevard Zoo. The highlight for me was when we got to feed the giraffes out of our hands! The highlight for Luke was seeing the bats hang upside down (he can't believe that I didn't take a picture of the bats to show you), and he also liked dressing up as a veterinarian in the interactive area, where he bandaged up the stuffed animal dolphin, otter, and birds.

Luke's Kindergarten Program

Luke's first Kindergarten program! He looked so cute up there in his little ABC shirt and mouse ears on! His part in the program was "Animals come in many colors" and he did it so well :)

Not the greatest quality picture...but here is all the Kindergarteners in their cute little shirts
