It's NOT time for the bird's and the bee's...

Tonight while I was giving Emma a bath she looked me square in the eyes and said "Mom how did Gavin get IN your tummy and how did he get OUT???" My friends have always said it is good to be honest with your kids and to be anatomically correct....so I thought maybe I would be brave and give Emma a little more information then the normal Gavin just "popped" out of me. She wanted to start out with HOW Gavin got OUT of me so I started with "well first you start feeling contractions and so you know it's time. Then they give you a shot in your back called an epidural." That's the furthest I needed to go because she broke into tears and said she will never have kids because she doesn't want a shot and PLEASE don't say anymore! I tried to calm her and talk her into wanting kids, I told her that you actually WANT this kind of shot at that point...but she wanted no more of our conversation...I think that is good for now and I DON'T think now is the time for the birds and the bees :) He he he

I laugh so hard when I read your blog. Your kids are so cute! Gavin was awesome rocking out with the guitar.
We miss you guys!

The good thing (I think) about boys is they don't care or think about that stuff. Although tonight Noah was telling me he was going to marry me when he was an adult. =) For the future, I will have to remember this when Natalie starts asking quesitons.

Yikes! I hate when kids ask questions like those, I don't want to lie but I just don't know what to say so I think you did a good job!

I love this amazing post. I can just picture Emma's eyes as you are unfolding the drama! I also loved the video of Gavin on the guitar. What fun!
Thanks so much for these posts. They really help me to remain connected to your beautiful kids.
